Shiraz RIP

Today Shiraz was to turn 14 years old. It is not to be. Two weeks ago I expected to be out and about with her running free and celebrating her life today. Instead one very sad Friday evening on Oct 7th I found her peacefully asleep forever. It came as a total shock. Shiraz was still very young spirited and we had had a great day together.. still jumping gates as she always had, enjoyed her dinner and no sign of anything wrong. To be honest when she wasn’t around I thought she was off on one of her little visiting adventures so off I went to find her..

She never got to be an old slow dog. I now feel very happy for her, that she didn’t go through any hardship that old age can create but I feel robbed of those special times you spend with your old friend and I miss her terribly. She was always the first in on the couch for any tummy rubs and love that anyone visiting would give,, She had a heart of gold and not a nasty bone in her body.

No doubt she will be smiling happily down on us and remembering her wonderful life she had and now jumping the clouds with her dear mother Maddie and dad the Hoons.

Shiraz you were one truly very special girl and I cry every time I see that little blue coat you wore in your last year with us. RIP xxx
