Lani Home again

It is with great pleasure I introduce Lani. Lani’s Mum is Maddie & Dad Riley. Lani left to live in Wellington when she was 8wks old but sadly the family she went to after 6 months had to return to the UK. It was with huge regret they couldn’t take Lani & they found her a new home. Lani is  a very active border collie & the 2nd family found her too much & .. with much delight I now have her back.. Lani is from Maddies last litter.. & not a totally expected litter so after the pups all left I was a bit sad I hadn’t kept a pup.

Lani is a honey. Yes she is full on.. loves to play & will egg us on with a ball or a stick anytime she can. The stick size is irrelevant to her & can be as small as a pin she doesn’t mind.. she just wants you to throw it for her..She is a shadow chaser which although funny to watch I will not be encouraging!!! her main focus is butterfly shadows so it hasn’t been a problem. She loves the water more than any dog I have. She will dive under if she thinks there is a stick to be got!!  Her favorite spot is diving into the waterfall coming out the culvert. She goes full under & then pops her head up to make sure you are there and watching!!

& above all she loves to cuddle.. like crazy right on top of you & just SO like her dad in that respect. She is a really happy little dog & as you can see from the photos has settled in super quick. Its like she knows she is home again & here to stay.

Lani is now a mature adult and has had pups of her own, She is one of the best mothers I have and she will bend over backwards to look after her puppies. She is very bright and many of her pups inherit that very alert mind. She carries chocolate & dilute although her red gene is predominantly thrown in her pups.
